Pinewood is a thriving learning community made up of a diversity of cultural and social backgrounds. Families, staff and students share a common commitment to excellence in education and personal growth.

People frequently ask me, ‘What makes Pinewood such a good school?’ I think perhaps this can best be answered by a note sent to me by one of the parents at Pinewood as her last child was finishing Year 6.

‘After visiting seven schools in the area we decided on Pinewood for our children and it’s been such a joy, year after year, to see and experience the wisdom of that choice. This is an amazing school – I was raised on the saying that “a church isn’t the building, it’s the people”. I understood it in theory but had never felt it. Being a part of Pinewood has shown me what this means. I haven’t quite decided if Pinewood attracts people with that something special or it develops within them. I think it’s probably a mixture of the two – it nurtures and allows the “specialness” to thrive.

I have loved being a part of this school community – it has a very special place in my heart and always will. As a parent I feel such a warm delight that my children have had this experience.’
