Our Program
The Out of School Hours Program at Pinewood Primary School is a caring, safe and friendly environment where children may play in a relaxed atmosphere.
The program offers a variety of activities for children at all times. Breakfast is provided at Before School Care and the children receive afternoon tea at the After School Care Program. The children who attend in the afternoons, participate in the Active After-Care Program, sponsored by the Australian Institute of Sport through the Australian Sports Commission. The Active After Care Program operates twice a week and brings actitivties such as Fencing, Karate, Boot Camp, Circus Skills (to name a few) to the students. We encourage all children to particpate in these activities as it allows them to try out new sports.
Vacation Care is also available at our school. This program operates through the 3 term breaks and for 3 weeks over the December/January holidays. Children are able to have breakfast and afternoon tea during Vacation Care but are required to provide their own lunch. During this program the children can particpate in incursions and excursions.
During February we offer an Early Finish Program to working parents of new prep children. As the children finish at 1.00pm through February, Prep children can attend the program from this time onwards.
